What’s a dental dam?

How do dental dams work? I just heard about them today and I’m still fuzzy on the details. Thanks!

Glad you asked! Dental dams (AKA Sheer Glyde Dams) are a thin square of latex made specifically for oral sex. It provides a barrier between genital fluids and the mouth. Just place it right over the vulva for instant STD protection.  Dental dams can also be used for oral sex on the anus.

It can be hard to find a dental dam in the drugstore, but fear not! You can find them at community health clinics, college campus wellness centers, online and, of course, at your local Planned Parenthood health centers. You can also turn a condom into a dental dam in a pinch.
