I know that the affordable care act has made health care affordable for some, but what about the rise in premiums because of the things being required to be covered? Do you think there are any negatives like that to the affordable care act?

The cost of private insurance coverage has unfortunately been on the rise for decades and more efforts need to be done to curb this cost. The ACA provides financial assistance to purchase private insurance on the ACA-created health insurance marketplace. The Marketplace, Healthcare.gov, (it may be a different name in your state) is an online portal that allows people to shop and compare insurance plans. The vast majority of individuals who purchase insurance on the Marketplace receive financial assistance and can find a plan for under $75 a month. States also have the option to expand Medicaid coverage to more people which means more people can gain access to no or low cost coverage for health care.
