Since providing abortions gets people mad at PP, why don't you just stop providing abortion services? It's only 3% of everything PP does right?

Despite loud opposition, 77% of Americans support abortion and don’t want to see people stripped of their constitutional right to access one if they decide to terminate a pregnancy. Right now a vocal minority controls the levers of power. If we limited our services in response to that minority of voices, we wouldn’t just be letting down our patients –– we’d be letting down the majority of Americans. And we care too much about our patients and our mission to let that happen. Planned Parenthood is a non-profit organization that was founded on the belief that our bodies are our own. Without that simple premise, we can never be truly free. Today, more than 100 years since our inception Planned Parenthood health centers across the country live by that belief. We provide birth control, STI testing and treatment, affirming identity care, and yes, safe, legal abortion in service to the ideal that the ability to make decisions about your body and your future are fundamental rights.
Abortion is essential health care, period. We’re proud to provide it, because the impact of getting an abortion –– or not being able to access one –– is enormous. The recent Turnaway Study found that women who were denied a wanted abortion had almost four times greater odds of living below the Federal Poverty Level. They were also more likely to stay with abusive partners, suffer anxiety, and experience serious complications at the end of pregnancy, including death. Meanwhile, 95% of women in the survey who had abortions reported that having an abortion was the right decision for them, over five years after the procedure.
